Wall-E ( or a distant cousin) is traversing over dirt and rock... a pile of fabric/trash in its sight. three of our finest are in the middle of a Bahgdad street maneuvering said robot, in hopes of finding what is underneath. You have in mind what you think it is...based on what you've heard.
Catherine Bigelow, makes you wait. Torments you with what may or may not happen. Giving you the same gut-wrenching slow-mo feeling of what these soldiers are going through every day.

One friend of mine was bored halfway in, although I was riveted the entire time. Don't get me wrong- the movie is tedious. It puts you right in the moment (seconds...minutes...hours) of what these guys deal with day in and out. But I love the exhilaration the lead character seems to thrive on. (plus he has a HOT ass). The Hurt Locker is a poignant piece..and IMO could have been released a few years earlier- to show us what our finest deal with day in and out.

I would give this movie 4 out of 5 stars,
and think it deserves every Oscar it has been nominated for.
Including Best Actor.
